Sensational Sunday.

Hello beautiful people.
I love being back at the home-area and being only a thirty minute train ride away from the family, I can go there whenever I feel like wanting to breath a little rural air and see familiar faces. And particularly for invites on special occasional Sunday dinners, I feel very excited to return home again. So, this time the traditional New Year's Carp was scheduled for Jan 4 and to be honest, I was pretty excited about it.
Ever since I was little, I remember eating carp for New Years and I was never able to work out the problem with the fish bones. So this is the new me having finally figured out how to eat the carp on New Years without choking. It tasted amazing and so I told my Mom. Twice. Once you don't live at home anymore and you have the most caring Mom on earth, you appreciate the things she does a million times more than before, which doesn't necessarily mean that you have always taking her for granted, just that you realize it more...
After finishing the meal, my Dad, who always has ants in his pants wanted us all to go out for a walk. No sun. Extremely windy. OH NO! Oh well, we went and I brought my sunglasses because I was pretty sure the clouds will eventually let the sun come through and that would have been impossible without the shades, hahaa. So thanks to me bringing the glasses, the sun came out and I was -of course- pretty happy. (:

Madame Macaron.

Good Evening Beautiful People! Quite some time has passed since I've made my last post and I am really sorry about that but let's just blame it on the time. Because it's passing by way too fast, it's so not fair! And speaking of time -it's the end of August already, I can't believe it! For me, as someone having the extreme luck to live in a most wonderful climated place on earth, called Germany, winter is just right around the corner. Ugh! Yesterday, I spotted the first brown colored leaves laying on the streets, no moment of happiness at all!
So, I am hoping September is going to be nicer than August.

Other than complaining -as usual about the weather, I've got something nice right here. For the fivethousandthreehundredninetysecond time, my sister has been on a buisness trip to Paris, so she brought me those gorgeous looking, most delicious, typical french sweets from Laduree. Seriously, some things may not be worth the hype, but for me this definitely is! No Macaron I've ever eaten has been comparable to those! This is true perfection.
I've been keeping them in the fridge, to wait for a special occasion to eat it with some tea and a book aside, my kind of special occasion, haha. Eating those made me really miss traveling!

I think: too much. Sometimes I get caught in my thoughts thinking "Fuck, why do I think this and that and everything?" It's awkward.
I wish: there wasn't such a drawn picture of our society, that often makes us to feel under pressure.
I wonder: If there is a person out there, that wonders about the same bullshit I do.
I miss: that feeling of not having to worry about the world. I mean, I can't really remember it exactly, but when I was little it surely was a permanent stage of life.
I fear: I am not really a person with lots of fears, I am not scared of the dark, or getting robbed. I fear no loneliness. But I think my biggest fear might be being misunderstood.

Have a great night, everyone!

Sunday Savor.

Hi there! So, sunday lunchtimes are kind of a real big deal. The plan what we are going to cook on sunday has to be all set on friday before grocery shopping! And this sometimes builds up the biggest decision problems ever, because it HAS to be a "Sunday Meal" and not everything you can cook IS an appropriate sunday lunch meal (my moms logic has always been the best)! Yeah, so the meal is one thing -the set up the second. So, the same procedure as every sunday: Helping my mom cook. Setting the dining table (because the kitchen table wont do on sundays) with the nice gold printed dishes (the conventional white ones wouldn't be enough for sundays. of course.), the special silver wear and some nicely colorful luxurous napkins. Besides that, some mellow classical music will transport the perfect emotions for chowing down all the nicely set up food on the table. (my dads rules are the second best.)
The worst part of all is, that I was the one continuing making the sunday meal such a big deal and yeah, I am really into this lovely looking sunday meal at this nicely decorated venue.. but today, I was just too hangover to care about the dishes and the silver wear, and the set up of the food, and the dessert, and the music... All I wanted was SOME food on any kind of dish even on the kitchen table without any dessert and music.
But you know, as I said, I still love those 'big deal appropriate sunday lunchtimes', not today, but all the other sundays.

Have a good start in the week, lovelys!

Weekend With Windburger.

Aloha! Seriously, what's better than a cheese burger and homemade french fries? I tried out this little burgerplace in Berlin Charlottenburg called Windburger and I really liked it! They have tons of different burgers with all kinds of extras and seriously the homemade fries are the best, we got ours served with cheese sauce, that's what they call "american french fries", not exactly sure why but oh well.

Beautiful Breakfast Break.

Goodmorning Lovelys! After some time of studying, I'm having some nice power breakfast IN my bed with lots and lots of sunbeams coming through my window. I have this one wall all covered with windows, that is so amazing. (:

I got this little wooden sign from my flatmate, omg and I adore this, it's so cute and it suits me perfectly. ;D

Hope you all have a great start in the day and the sun shines where you are!! xx
